Your first appointment will consist of a thorough examination, an in depth review of your orthodontic issues, treatment timing, and discussion of potential treatment options. This important 60-minute visit gives us insight into your individual orthodontic needs and allows us to address together the following questions covering the basics of orthodontic treatment:
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are your payment options?
Our goal is for our patients to leave our office with a clear understanding of their orthodontic treatment plan and how long it will take.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:
- Any panoramic X-ray taken within the past six months.
- Also, please bring your dental insurance card with you to your appointment. As a courtesy, we can submit a claim on your behalf should you have orthodontic benefits.
