Clear aligner therapy is based on the modern science of 3-D computer graphics paired with the traditional principles of orthodontics. In small increments, clear aligners will move your teeth to the desired final position prescribed by your orthodontist. Each aligner tray is uniquely yours as they are appropriately gauged and adjusted for your mouth throughout the phases of your treatment. At your initial visit we will determine if clear aligner therapy is appropriate for you. If so, we send our instructions to the clear aligner manufacturer and from this information your sequence of aligner trays is fabricated. The number of trays assigned to you varies and can be as few as 12 or as many as 48. Your alignment is gradual as each tray is worn for about two weeks and only taken out to eat, brush, and floss. As you move through each sequence of trays you will notice your smile beginning to change and eventually reaching the end result designed by your orthodontist and clear align therapy.
